Sim File Share does not hold any rights over your files, and we will not redistribute them without your permission. As long as your files are hosted on Sim File Share, you give us permission to share them with rehosting sites if we close Sim File Share. If that happens, we will decide which sites receive the files.
If you decide that you don't want your files to be rehosted, you should delete them from Sim File Share. Deleted files will not be sent to rehosting sites. If you are unable to delete your files, you can contact us and we will delete them for you, as long as we can verify that you are the owner of the account.
We won't delete files unless it is necessary to do so, for example because their contents are illegal or against these terms of use, or because they are causing or involved in a technical problem which can only be solved by deleting the files in question. The exception to this is if you ask us to delete your files.
We don't collect any identifying data about you without explicitly asking your permission. The exception to this is your IP address, which appears in our logs. The only data we will share about you is your username, unless we are legally obliged to share more.
You agree not to upload anything illegal, or anything which violates copyright. We do not consider custom content for the Sims games to be in violation of EA's copyright, as they have never enforced their rights over custom content in the 15 year history of the Sims series.
Sim File Share is designed to be a file sharing service for simmers. You agree to only upload sims-related files, with the intention of sharing them with other people. You also agree not to invite anyone if you know they plan to break this rule.
You are allowed to use Sim File Share to share monetised (profit-making) files, including by using a service such as ad.fly. However, you agree not to hold us liable for any financial loss, if we have a problem which prevents your downloaders from accessing your files.
We may make changes to these Terms of Use in future. If so, we will notify you and give you the chance to accept or reject the changes.
